North Sydney TAFE

Who:

NSW Public Works

Where:

North Sydney, NSW

What:

Gran prepared a master plan then followed with design and documentation for relocating Bradfield Senior College to a TAFE campus at North Sydney. This project adaptively reused a number of under-utilised buildings on the TAFE campus to provide a new senior school. The school has clearly defined boundaries – these also help to manage integration with the TAFE community. The master planning exercise involved careful evaluation of existing buildings and surrounding spaces. The new plan describes the best possible use to support the school’s self-directed learning program. The resulting facility includes a 90 seat performance space, dance studio, music recording studio, radio recording studio, art rooms, design workshops, science labs, innovative learning spaces and a student retreat.
